Nikita Casap was sentenced to life in prison after prosecutors said he killed his parents as part of a plan to fund an assassination plot targeting President Donald Trump. Authorities said Casap shot and killed his mother, Tatiana Casap, and his stepfather, Donald Mayer, inside their home in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Investigators believe the killings were motivated by Casap’s plan to obtain money and resources needed to carry out the plot. According to officials, he allegedly intended to use a drone carrying explosives to attack Trump and planned to flee the country afterward. Court documents said Casap remained in the home with the bodies for roughly two weeks before leaving the state. He was eventually located and arrested in Kansas following a nationwide investigation. Prosecutors later charged him with multiple offenses related to the killings and the alleged plot. A judge ultimately sentenced Casap to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murders.
